How to install OSX.dmg file to a bootable USB drive
Open "Disk Utility."
You will need to format your 8GB partition/USB drive with the GUID option so it will be bootable.
Partition about 8GB for the Leopard install on your flash drive, external hard drive, or even another partition on your main hard drive that you will be able to have connected to the computer and boot from.
I'd recommend formatting the partition as a "Mac OSX extended (Journaled)."
Under "options" (at the bottom) select "GUID." This will make the partition bootable.
Then press "Apply."
To install the .dmg file without errors....
File-›Open Disk Image... (Either from the OSX install DVD or from a .dmg file you have copied onto your hard drive/network.)
After it, your dmg file will appear on the left side of the Disk Utility's main window.
Right click (Ctrl+Click) the mounted volume (below your dmg file) of the install file
Select "Set as source..." !!! Important: Select the mounted drive as source, and NOT the dmg image!!!
After that, select the destination to be the name of the 8GB space you want to have the bootbale install file loaded onto.
And click restore.
It will ask about erasing (I recommend it, if you don't have important data on the drive, anyway it may not be boot), so click yes, if it's possible.
And it will do it.
After it, reboot, hold the Option key, select your new drive to boot, and install your system.

Windows has trouble booting from a partition other than 'C'. I wonder, how I could get it to boot from 'D'? Ubuntu had a partition selector. It was annoying if you frequently turned off the computer.
When Windows has trouble loading, inserting a retail version of XP, not an OEM, running setup, then choosing the repair option, 'r', will take you to a dos screen where you can run 'chkdsk'. If there are errors, you can type 'fixboot' to repair the Windows installation on the 'C' drive. How do you get it to repair the 'D' drive? Will I have to find a way to change the d drive to say c drive even though the partitions are out of order on the hard drive?

Rev Tom Baker. Law and Gospel. Bible Study
Works matter if you live under the law instead of by God's grace. Do the actions of an infant determine whether or not they get adopted?
The law reveals that one who is spiritually dead cannot do spiritually alive works.
- Is God not unjust to give us a law when He knows we are unable to complete it?
- By demanding what we cannot repay, God moves us both to repent of our condition and trust in Jesus who repaid it for us.
The diagnosis is the law. It doesn't make us better. The gospel is the treatment. In Christianity, we don't need actions to justify ourselves. Jesus did that for us.
Satan gets you by saying you are not worthy to talk to God (Jesus) directly. Good works are not done to gain heaven. Ceilings are not heirs to heaven.
Our good works are never pure and holy. Truly good works are God's actions through us.
We are saved because we believe Christ led a aimless life, then died and rose for me and you.
Christ is the end of the law as long as we believe.
Gospel relieves our conscience.
