E-Fax Free (not to be confused to the E-Fax Pro 30 Day Trial) allows you to receive 20 pages of incoming faxes each month for free. It will ask you to upgrade your account to a paid plan if you go over.

E-Fax Free assigns you a semi-random fax number (that will likely be from another state) that people can dial on their fax machines to fax you documents. They faxes will show up in the e-mail you register your account with.

I did not see any expiration time on the phone number, so for all I know, once you have a number assigned to an e-mail address, it stays active. Some other sites have the number time out if it not used for a certain length of time.

The free account does not allow for free outgoing faxes.
