Someone I know that works at a fireworks stand in stl told me how his boss gives the police or fire chief free fireworks to not enforce the fireworks ban. They ship the boxes to the city hall/fire station with stickers that say "for educational purposes". The police chief had originally said he would crack down on illegal fireworks on the radio or a speech or somethig. The owner saw this as a threat to business and decided to "bribe" him. My friend laughed about this. He also said unused fireworks gets burned if it's not sold, so employees take the extra and sell it out of their trunks. No tax revenue there. If something is not safe/ good, should it be legalixed to capture tax revenue? Casinos, prostitution [debatably.. Legalization may make it more safe]
