What about if kids were encouraged to pursue anything they have an interest in. If they want to make a movie for americas funniest home videos, let them film something in good taste.... Or not. Maybe let them do it of whatever they think is funny... And it will fail to be a winner. Then you can explain why... Have them do the video editing on it. Let them be a director. Looking at things like that can help them mature if they have a twisted sense of humor. They will watch it over and over until it isn't funny and mature perhaps.
