The body was pulled out about 30-45 minutes after he dove in. It was found with a bar that was held by chains on both ends that met up to a single chain that could be pulled with hooks on it to catch skin. He had never swam before. He was getting ready to get in and he said he had never swam before and another guy said, "well If you jump in the lake you'll learn pretty fast". I was exhaused from swimming. It was twice as long as my home pool, not quite as long as the 50 meter? Yeah, pool at Truman. But it was exhausting since all of us were so out of practice. People were willing to help, but I think I was the only one able to get my feet to touch the bottom of the 15 foot pond, and it was hard for me to do multiple times. No one immediately jumped off the dock to search for him. They were just shouting for us to "come back". So we didn't sense any real urgency. It took about 5 minutes
for people to take it seriously and we got maybe another 5 minutes of amateur volunteers.
