I've heard of dead skin poisoning someone. That is why dead limbs were cut off in war times. Was it called gangreene? The orange skin has to mean something. One idea I thought of to test the skin, remembered actually, was a test used by people with diabetes, a prick test. You use a pin or thin long piece of plastic and touch the area. If you feel something on healthy skin and something different or nothing on the other part of your skin, something may be wrong. At what point do you see a doctor?
