It seems thatt with art, sometimes what is more anatomically correct is not what is consitered good. Art allows for exageration, emphasis, and feeling to be portrayed. Art is how feeling can be communicated when vocabulary is limiting. What I drew would perhaps be less art and more an attempt at a representation of an actual thing. The long neck and overly thin body was not intentional, it was an attempt at accuracy. In 1980s-1990s, an exaggeration of the chest and arms would be art as they portray what the artist thinks young boys want to emulate. How many more kids dress up as a muscular batman than pee wee herman? how many parents tell their kids they should dress up as super heroes verses the real everyday heroes whose abilities are simply reacting quickly to situations without great strength or super powers? I propose that art is intentional representation of something by the
artist where something is not to proportion and another word should be used for drawn photographs.
