I wonder if a market can be defined for things that are created to allow a common point of conversation interest outside of a profession: sports, game systems, movies, television, politics reporting.. well news in general, etc. Why do people read the newspaper? Seriuosly, how many things in there directly impact the life of the reader? Celebrity gossip, corperate scandals, sports scores, company profiles that have no relavence to the lives of a majority of the readers have really no other purpose than to have something to talk about With other people. The irony being that people may spend more time reading about these things [perhaps out of habit or social expectation] than actually talking to other people. [weather, real estate prices, the get out section of the stl post dispatch are exceptions]. What if people drew pleasure from coming up with workable solutions to problems people,
businesses, or politicians/ society have? T suggests that inventors should always have work improving
