Can a congressman with a higher salary and freedom from taxes accurately reprresent the people? [I think I could] Should pharmacy companies be able to charge whatever they want for pills? Generally, in a free market economy prices that are too high won't get paid by many people. But if something costs $1000 and 30,000 people get it, but because of insurance companies that have consumers saying "pay whatever it costs" and hospitals change the price to $3,000 because they know insurance companies will pay it and because of extra administrative costs.... What if all countries were expected to come up with medical cures per capita or something. Not all cures are pharmasutical... Some cultures have alternate ways of treating diseases. Some are stupid, sure. But some may be more realistic than current practices. Is there someone who can go to every culture and see how they deal with
everything from sicknesses to health to happiness? We could probably learn a lot from other cultures.
